Small Groups at CBC

God exists in community and he desires us to experience him in this way

                  Currently CBC offers small groups that meet regularly in homes. 

              All groups are open to new comers, so contact anyone at the church if you would like to be involved.

HERE IS OUR VISION FOR SMALL GROUPS:

Purpose:

To connect people into small Groups who will meet together on a regular basis to take the next steps towards strengthening their relationships towards God, as well as with others around them.

Vision:

Small Groups at CBC seek to develop a real connection with God and others in Authentic, Christ-centered, Community for the purpose of spiritual growth.

Develop: Taking the next step; intentionally responding to God and moving forward on our journey with Jesus.

Real connection: a safe non-threatening place to nurture authentic, caring relationships with others; a place where no one stands alone.

Authentic Community: The Body of Christ expressing the life and message of Jesus to build up one another and change the world for God’s glory.

 

Values:

Each Small Group centers on core values to help participants to take their next steps towards Christ in Authentic Community.

Service Growth happens when Small Groups serve the church as well as the community

Thrive Small Groups will grow and expand and eventually birth new groups

Evangelism Outreach is a core focus in the Small Groups ministry

Personal Growth All are seeking to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ

Sharpen Accountability is essential to Authentic Community and our relationship with God

 

Goals:

- See 70% of all Members at CBC in the Small Group community.

- See all people in positions of influence and leadership in authentic small group community

                                        - See Small Group members become "a priesthood" to themselves.
